TK ABA SEMESTA, true to its name "Semesta" (Universe), is built and developed based on universal values rooted in the perspective of Modern Islam. Universal values are the embodiment and synonymous with the mission of Islam as well as one of the characteristics of Modern Islam, which is to manifest Islam as "Rahmatan lil-‘Alamin", Islam as a mercy to the universe.
Islam is a mercy to the universe. Therefore, every Muslim is obliged to manifest that mercy in real life. The mission of mercy is not only important for the welfare of mankind, but also for the welfare of all of Allah's creatures on earth, such as animals, plants, the environment, and natural resources.
As the first or pioneer kindergarten in Indonesia, TK ABA has a long history in building inclusive, modern education oriented towards character building. Specifically, TK ABA SEMESTA presents a distinctive feature suitable for its position as a structured early childhood education institution, namely "Play, Pray, Lead the Future", introduced by 'Aisyiyah in the modern era. Thus, "Play, Pray, Lead the Future" is a special characteristic as well as representing the educational philosophy of TK ABA Semesta.
Play. Children learn through play, exploration, and fun or joyful real experiences. Playing is human nature as homo ludens (playing beings). Children everywhere, since birth and growing into children who delight their parents, want to learn about everything and the world around them, create, hone their thinking skills in their own way, and develop social and emotional intelligence according to their age. All of this is expressed with enthusiasm and the way of playing. This basic potential needs to be continuously nurtured and developed in early childhood education institutions, in this case by TK ABA Semesta. Fun play that also contains educational elements appropriate for their age.
Pray. Children are guided to know Allah from an early age through worship, prayer, civility or morals, gratitude, honesty, love for goodness, love for others, and joyful spiritual experiences. Since in the womb, God has given a monotheistic spirit to children, then when they are born into the world they already have a divine and religious soul, which requires maintenance, growth, and strengthening of the values of faith and piety.
Lead the Future. By instilling the strength of faith, morals, and intelligence, TK ABA specifically prepares future leaders with a global or universal perspective. The seeds of education at TK ABA Semesta, through continuous education levels, foster the spirit of honesty, courage, trustworthiness, care, broad social networking, intelligence, and chivalry as an important asset for the formation of leadership. Cultivating this leadership spirit is part of the long tradition of 'Aisyiyah and Muhammadiyah as progressive Islamic movement organizations. For more than a century, 'Aisyiyah has produced women and generations of the nation who actively enlighten religiosity, educate the life of the nation, foster individuals who are physically and mentally healthy, empower the community, and play a national role through various charitable endeavors as a manifestation of the mission of da'wah and tajdid. Especially in facing complex global developments, which require Progressive Muslim Youth with a deep, broad, and deeply meaningful universal insight.
