ABA Semesta Kindergarten Presents KB, Kindergarten A, and Kindergarten B Programs Based on “Play, Pray, Lead the Future”

YOGYAKARTA — ABA Semesta Kindergarten (TK ABA Semesta) is a new step for ‘Aisyiyah in providing modern, warm, and future-oriented early childhood education. Embracing the spirit of Play, Pray, Lead the Future, ABA Semesta Kindergarten is designed not only as a place for children to learn, but also as a space for growth that helps children know God, love knowledge, develop creativity, and prepare them for the global world from an early age.

As part of the development of ‘Aisyiyah education, which has been a pioneer of early childhood education in Indonesia since 1919, ABA Semesta Kindergarten offers a fun and developmentally appropriate learning approach. The curriculum is developed based on play-based learning, exploration, character building, worship habits, and future skills needed by children in the global era.

The educational program at ABA Semesta Kindergarten consists of Playgroup (KB), Kindergarten A, and Kindergarten B, each designed to suit the child’s developmental stage.

At the Playgroup (KB) level, children are introduced to the world of learning through safe, fun, and exploratory play experiences. Sensory activities, movement, music, art, and social play are essential for helping children build self-confidence, communication skills, and early independence. At this stage, children are also introduced to simple prayers, daily etiquette, and gratitude through warm and enjoyable experiences.

Entering Kindergarten A, children begin to actively explore their surroundings through creative and collaborative activities. Learning is developed through storytelling, simple experiments, thematic projects, group games, and art activities and nature exploration. Children not only learn to recognize letters and numbers naturally, but also learn to work together, express opinions, respect friends, and develop the courage to try new things.

Meanwhile, at the Kindergarten B level, learning is directed at strengthening children’s readiness for primary education while still prioritizing enjoyable learning experiences. Children are trained to think more independently, solve simple problems, communicate effectively, and develop a sense of responsibility and leadership from an early age. Strengthening literacy, numeracy, creativity, and social skills is carried out through a project-based approach and active exploration, so that children grow into confident and adaptive learners.

The Chairperson of PP ‘Aisyiyah, Salmah Orbayinah, emphasized that ABA Semesta Kindergarten is expected to be a model for early childhood education that fosters global insight, strong character, and opens children’s horizons to cultural diversity and global developments.

In addition to a holistic curriculum, ABA Semesta Kindergarten is also supported by a modern and child-friendly learning environment. Situated on over 5,500 square meters, the school is equipped with interactive classrooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, a multimedia learning corner, a reading corner, a learning laboratory, a prayer room, a theater room, a children’s swimming pool, and a creative exploration area that support optimal child development.

The ABA Semesta Kindergarten building is also designed with a solar system philosophy, symbolizing the light of knowledge and the spirit of growing together. This concept provides a safe, inspiring, and enjoyable learning space for children to play, learn, pray, and prepare themselves to become a future generation with morals, creativity, and progress.
